Who we are

Supercargo is an independent and privately owned Portuguese company engaged in the trade of commodities superintending and surveying, since 1993.

It carries out inspections, verifications, examinations, tests, samplings, measurements, issues reports and certificates and renders advisory services, relating to the aforesaid operations.

Supercargo, acts exclusively in the capacity as agent of its Principal in accordance with their instructions and the Code of Practice for Superintendents.

We are the most qualified national company in this area of activity.








Geographical Coverage

Supercargo exercises its activity in the entire national territory (mainland, Azores and Madeira) and in Spanish western ports, for what has offices installed in Caparica (Headquarters), in Aveiro and Ponta Delgada. It also operates throughout Europe and South America where often move its inspectors.

Supercargo has special relationships with similar companies of reputation and proven technique and capacity, affiliated and recognized by the international organizations, with which it works in partnership, especially in Europe (Spain, France, Germany and the Black Sea basin) and Latin America (Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay).

The company's history has provided its inspectors with a substantive knowledge of most ports where the cargo is loaded, destined to the western half of the Iberian Peninsula, so today Supercargo superintend with the same rigor and capacity for action, a shipment in Paranaguá or Nueva Palmira, as a discharge operation in Lisbon, Ponta Delgada or Huelva.
